The 2018 CSUN Senior Film Showcase will be held Wednesday, May 2nd (7:30PM) in the Samuel Goldwyn Theater at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills.
The host for this year's event will be actor, comedian, writer, film director and Hollywood icon Robert Townsend. Townsend is best known for directing the feature films Hollywood Shuffle, (The Samuel Goldwyn Company), The Five Heartbeats (20th Century Fox), The Meteor Man (MGM), and Eddie Murphy Raw (Paramount Pictures). Eddie Murphy Raw is still the #1 theatrical stand-up film of all time making $50.5 million at the box office worldwide. Townsend created and produced two variety show series Robert Townsend and His Partners in Crime for HBO and the Fox Television Variety Show Townsend Television. He also created and starred in WB Network"s sitcom The Parent Hood which ran for four seasons. Townsend also starred opposite Denzel Washington in the MGM feature film The Mighty Quin.

For early arrivals or overflow parking, fee parking is available at ABM Parking Services, 9100 Wilshire at Doheny. In after 5:00 - $5.00 for the evening.
For last minute arrivals - Free Parking on Wilshire Blvd. after 7pm.
